€8,000 may be a miniscule amount to you but let me tell you its a damn fortune to a lot of people in this town.

€8000 could carry out much needed repairs to a good number of council houses or buy a load of books for the library or salt the footpaths in wintertime and put in a couple of pedestrian crossings on some of the lethal junctions in this town that pedestrians and pensioners have to risk their necks.
