A lot of what I hear you saying could be translated to pertain to many Canadian Airports. Your not unique in your fog problems, snowstorms, and subsidisation for airports. I've waited, been cancelled, been rerouted all over Canada because so many of the places I travel are around the Great Lakes and snow/fog is a happening much of the year. I do hope I don't get reshuffled to Shannon I don't have time to drive from Shannon to Ballina and back...........it would definitely be a big problem........so cross you fingers that I get lucky and there is no fog to welcome me.
