Thanks be to God I didn't have to drive back on that cart track all the way to Dublin at 3AM the day after New Year's. The facilities at Knock are getting better all the time and I for one am glad that we have this facility on our doorstep. I fly through airports all over Europe and the US on a very regular basis and I have seen airports of all shapes sizes and quality. Some airports getting 20 flights or more a day don't even have a decent taxi service in the US and forget trying to make a phone call from some airports because the phones are broken etc. In fact if I can get a flight out of any airport in the West I would rather get that than have to pass through that hell-hole of an airport in Dublin where you are trampled on in queues (I'm surprised that the fire officers haven't closed it down on several occasions due to overcrowding) and ripped off to the last. Folks why are we complaining about Knock? Really we are so lucky to have this facility in close proximity. I'm glad that my taxpayers money is being used to subsidise travel from here. Do you really want all your hard earned money to go to the LUAS which has to get stilts or the Port Tunnel which is too small? That's of great benefit to all of us travellers in the West.
