There is a group of satellites at the 28.2E (Sky) orbital position and there are spare transponders on each of them so if one is damaged they can use the spare capacity on the others to cover themselves until they can get a replacement launched.

Unless maybe debris hit one of them with enough force and at the right angle to send it crashing into one of the others (or even a nice domino effect with a group of them) !!!!!!
