I want an explanation too for all that wasted space in people's front gardens. The put in flowers when they could be doing something useful like planting potatoes and vegetables. And while I'm at it all those stupid photos on the front page of the Irish Times that have no news value - you know the kind of thing I mean - photos of little girls or sunsets - what a WASTE of SPACE that could be filled up with useful news!! A public enquiry is the only answer. All those gaps between the houses along the Westport Road all the way to Westport too - there are lots of spaces between the houses. Why are they there?
