All Linux flavours these days are simple to install.

For an office replacement there's OpenOffice
(http://www.openoffice.org) or the
commercial version (Staroffice)for $70 from Sun http://wwws.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/index.html).

StarOffice 7 is really great - it runs on Linux,
Solaris and if you really, really want to, Windows.
You can edit existing word, excel, presentation,
etc. docs. and even export them as PDF.

Don't wait for Micro$oft to deliver a safe Windows.
