It seems Councillor Flynn (Is the retention of Cooper really still warranted) felt that in spite of an all-party accepted blanket ban on councillors having their mobile phones switched on in council chambers during meetings, she believed she was entitled to an exception, merely because her affairs as a TD are in such a mess at the moment. Not only did she show her distain for her fellow councillors but I also believe she showed a great disrespect for local government democracy by her insistence in accepting telephone calls during a council meeting. Ms Flynn, if/when you're a county councillor be a county councillor and if/when you're a TD, be a TD and if your activities as a TD have such impact on your position as a county councillor to the extent that they infringe right into council chambers, then I suggest you resign your council seat and surrender your dual mandate. Of course to suggest then that Chairman Chambers (also a FF councillor) insulted and caused offence to HER just further illustrates the arrogance of this woman. Finally no kudo's either to the pathetic spinless crowd of party faithful cronies namely the FF councillors who flocked to her support. Ye pathetic bunch of whimps, if yer gonna make rules stick to them and apply them to all and sundry even the daughter of the afearsome Flynnstone.
