A spokesman for the undertakers today said the cost of burials in Castlebar was a very grave matter. Whilst they had great sympathy for people, the cost of lining coffins (and their pockets) had gone up considerably and whilst undertakers weren't in the habit of issuing statements, they had rehearsed this reply very carefully and had laid out the facts as fairly as possible. There is an underground movement trying to give undertakers a bad name but they could swear on the breastplate of St. Patrick (and all the other saints and sinners)that they were doing a good job and would keep the lid on matters. The paths of glory lead but to the grave. What a healthy thought. Roll on the crematorium!
