I heard from a reliable source in Dail Eireann that the government
are thinking of a new national anthem. The source tells me that
certain government heads thinks it would be a good idea to change
the anthem to represent Ireland's rapid change into a modern and
multicultural Republic. I think it is a disgrace and we should keep
our anthem and not satisfy some unionist demand. The government are
going to do a survey soon on what sort of tone the new anthem should take.
Any ideas?
