To loose a child in such a torturous way, when every facet of your Being,
every ounce of emotion, hormones, chemicals, desires compel you to love
and protect them always.
To eventually have them found dead, and when you imagine that their last
moments were spent in terror calling for you to save them, to take them
home and when at last you can finally come, albeit too late, but at least
to say I am here now, you are safe, to be told not to see the body
because they have been too badly mutilated.
What torment to endure.
