He's definitely the president of the USA - even Al Gore gives him that. But he didn't get an actual majority. He didn't go into Saudi because they pump the bulk of the oil used in the USA and elsewhere in the Western World. Imagine what a war there would do to the economy? The nice thing about Iraq is that they have a huge proportion of the confirmed reserves but were pumping damn all. Now that the damage is done and Al Qaeda is really building up a head of steam against wesern infidels fuelled by neocon idiocy, religious fervour is hitting Iraq, the $hit has hit the fan for sure and of course US troops are needed to maintain some semblance of order - probably for the foreseeable future. But if they hold elections in Iraq and find that a fundamentalist Ayatollah or Immam is now running the show and says go home to Rumsfeld. What then? Does Iraq become another Argentina or El Salvador? Clinton, Reagan, Bush Snr surely were all under corporate pressures too but none of them plunged the US into a war based on a pack of lies.
