well, i disagree

i think it's a gross generalisation to say that most parents are as ignorant on matters as sexual education as their offspring.

if someone has had the patience and understanding to raise a child to the age of 9, 10 or whatever, i think they will be able to instruct that child on basic respect for themselves and others, both in a sexual way and in general.

on your second point, yes i agree that parents are made responsible for very little in our society. maybe that's one of the problems in the first place?
