Never ascribe to conspiracy what is equally explained by incompetence. The West has more airports than you can shake a stick at, so its hardly a wonder that they have to scrabble between them for a bit of business. I know its next door saying that the men of Shannon and Knock can't get it up, but in all honesty a proper airport in Galway would have more potential than either of the other locations.
