Obviously the sins of all things past are forgiven in the ultimate act of death! Yassar Ararfat was a tyrant who stole from his people to wage a war which was never going to be won. If you examine his history and his legacy, you will see a person who's ultimate aim was to reign over his people by keeping them in ignorance, poverty and blind hope. He has been the biggest obstacle to peace in the middle east over the past 30 years and his political manouverings have gained a people still locked in poverty, in ignorance and with the only hope that spawns suiside bombers. his personal wealth is estimated in excess of 5 BILLION u.s. dollars, money which was contributed by the Arab nations, the U.N. and other sympathetic countries to assist the palastinians out of the degradation. Check his record on the number of schools he built, the hospitals he built and then come back and tell me what a great patriot and leader and protector of the people that he was! As long as Israel was an issue, he was guaranteed his power. The best thing that comes out of his death is that, finally, the people of Palastine might get some peadership that actually cares about them.
