I'd have to say that Inda would be more popular than Richard Bruton...or the evil of the two lessers (Gay Mitchell) But he lacks a certian appeal for the Dublin voter where he is seen as a bit of an agricentric....still it was nice to see him put manners on buffon Ring.
It must still rankle with Inda that he was overlooked by the party when Noonan was elected leader...some how I think if FG hadn't bombed at the last general election and lost some of their stellar cast, Hayes, Shatter, Yeats (who saw the writing on the wall) or even Dukes...Inda would still be FG lobby fodder.
Remember Fine Gael haven't won a General Elecion since 1982.
