Elaine, I know the score with IRA violence. But a form of the IRA won freedom for the Free State. This is what ED is on about. This was a different IRA than the Provisionals. The facts must be faced that in the 70's etc the Provisionals came because of the civil rights movements, right or wrong history will be the judge. It was a war, even though people will not call it a war but it was a low intensity war waged on all sides. As with war many died which is wrong. The thing we need to grasp is not to let it happen again. Let they be no excuse for people to resort to violence again. That is why the agreement must work for both sides and anybody who steps outside must be hunted by not only the law but the Irish population
