No it became a stake holder to take control of its content with a Vatican leaning, the Church has never done anything for the good of the people, only to fill its own coffers, and ram its view of dogma down peoples throats! in case you have not noticed, no one listens to it now! i wonder why? attendance at Church has been declining over the years, people wont be bullied by it anymore, you might want the good old days back, but they aint coming back, good old Cathloic Ireland is dead and gone, instead now we have an up and coming christians, not guilt ridden fear induced Catholic bigots
