In Sligo every person graduating gets 2 tickets for guests, and there is a security person at the main door checking that no-one gets in without a ticket, once all alloted ticket holders get their seats they let additional people in, its a shame that you missed her graduation over someone else incompetence, hopefully it wont be her last graduation ceremony and you will be there for the next one, in any case I would make sure that the college hears about it in a formal letter of complaint and also asking for a refund on any expenses that you incurred, e.g travel, accomodation, new outfit, etc....Its not everyday that your daughter graduates.
