I presume you are referring to the thousands who spend a while in the Irish ghetto in Boston or New York or Chicago or San Francisco or Fort Lauderdale where they can get their rashers and sausages and black pudding and go to the Irish bars where they can get the only decent pint of guinness in town and go to the Irish gift shop where they can buy their Lyon's tea because nothing else is any good.
And for holidays they go to disneyworld or Las Vegas or the grand canyon and get a taste of americana!
The truth is that the average Irishman knows as much about America as the yank who kissed the Blarney Stone knows about Ireland!!
