The way Sinn Fein have used Jerry McCabes slaughter for the advancment of their agenda and the pain and misery of his family as a barganing chip is a disgrace.
Whatever we feel about Republicanism or pride in our nation - this has done those two ideals the greatest disservice. The shooting dead of a member of the Gardai while protecting money in a post office (where the ordinary plain person keeps their meager savings) is reprehensible, to do it in the name of Republicanism is stomach churning.
What do Castlebar Sinn Fein have to say about this? Has our elected representative on the town council been asked to comment? Shame on us for allowing these murderers and sympathisers on come anywhere near governing us.
