Linking to objectionable sites could easily be solved if they just prevented people adding links at the bottom of these posts.

This would stop people posting links to sites like Mayo County Council's - the one that 'Supprised' is complaining about. Just remove the box that says 'Optional Link' - it's simply solved really by a computer expert who knows how to remove these boxes.

That would sort out links to the Internet which everyone knows has lots of porn sites. They would have to take away the image link too because goodness knows what could pop up there with some of the types frequenting this board! They could post any kind of photograph.

After that we could have a list of acceptable topics for threads and nothing else could be discussed apart from these selected wholesome threads. I am going to suggest a few wholesome topics now and perhaps other people could join in and suggest some other suitable ones:

Acceptable Topics for Castlebar People to Discuss while using this new-fangled Internet Bulletin Board Thingummy:

1. Ciaran MacDonald - why won't he cut his hair?
2. The Mortimer Brothers - which is the prettier
3. The Secrets of Fatima - what now?
4. Sad Country Music Songs - are they phonographic
5. What New Shops Are Coming to Town This Week?

Now that's a good start. Anyone else got some ideas for wholesome discussions?
