Ahh - it's not clear who you are addressing with your point. Mike is not a UK person - he clearly states that he's from ROI and living in NI. As I understand it he's merely arguing that when you leave a country and stop paying taxes there, and cease to avail of its services, why should you be able to influence the taxes and laws that the people you left behind have to put up with? It's a general point and he certainly wasn't rubbishing UK people either.
