Anyone else feel that FF are really in trouble in Mayo with their Ex Bev launching a verbal attack on Bertie for his neglect of Mayo and now this ambigious vague announcement by John Carty that a new 999 Gardai National Call Centre is going to be located in Davitt House to replace ther Dept of Agriculture jobs that were due to move to Portlaoise.

Oh and this just happens to be revealed to him by Agriculture Minister Mary Coughlan in the corridoors of Leinster House in passing so naturally he feels obliged to go straight to the local press in Mayo to reveal this great windfall of jobs for the county.

Since when has the Minister for Agriculture taken to making even unofficial announcements for An Gardai Siochana - Surely that is the remit of Minister McDowell??

Watch this space I'd say and in perhaps 10 years time a much reduced regional Gardai call centre will open in Castlebar employing 10 people with very little fanfare!!!
