Therefore of course it would be the Minister for Agriculture who would be central to the announcement. The National Call Centre is a centralised office for all emergency "999" calls in the state, this isn't just Gardai business but health services, fire department and defence...999 is an emergency number - not simply a hotline to the Gardai! Ergo, look at the facts before you get on your high horse, John Carty as the governments representative made the announcement in the local media - big wow....methinks you need someone else to pick on.
