There is a number of protools versions the pro TDM versions starts at around 12 grand a good Mac around 3 grand the budget version with the digi 002 is cheap but your better of with cubase. So anyway uve got the Mac and protools and a 5 piece band with a live drummer you still need certain room environment eg good drum room with no bad reflections a dead room for vocals and the capacity to let the band rip to create a good track so albinicus unless ur sampling and playing keyboards ur going nowhere, Plus if ur into that type of music cubase or logic is better, Protools is used and is used in large studios analogue with analogue sometimes. Its not as simple as you think. You must have read an article that led you astray.
