Brass neck award has to go to the bloke from the Vintners Federation who says the (alleged) decline is not so much down to the smoking ban as "The cost of a night out, which also includes taxis and babysitters"

Of course it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the cost of drinks in the pub and anyone who suggests otherwise is only being silly
