Yes has people forgotten what the Church has done for society - education, community spirit, spirtual guidance, support in people's hour of need etc. Yes they have many misgivings but I think it is unwise to post something that is so offensive to so many people.

If you wish to have a secular society then work over Christmas, Easter and other church holidays. In fact, work on weekends as well.

Some of the churchs rules re: eating meat on Friday (designed to make people vary their diet, and not eat everyday the animal that was killed on the Saturday previous), mass on Sunday - designed as a day of rest, not so much a day of thanksgiving, and more
