In not a philistine but...
Look, I was in Athens a year before the Olympic games arrived; the place was in turmoil...basically a construction site. The Greeks were building an underground system right through the city to upgrade the infrastructure for the games. Now as anyone who has visited Athens (or even opened a history book) knows that the city is really an archaeological dig.
How did they get over all the "oh my God, you can't build there" types (I don't think An Taisce have organised in Greece yet - It'd be their heaven!) The authorities simply removed any discovered artefacts and displayed them. If the same is done with Tara - which with about a million archaeologists and countless assorted hippy/save the whales/trees/fields/snails and slugs types, not a thing can go wrong!
Fair play Dick - a victory for pragmatism
