I think you will find that there will be two lanes exiting the roundabout for such a thing to work. In Castlebar there is only one exit lane. So if I am in the left hand lane going straight through (as per every other roundabout in Ireland) and a motorist on the left lane goes to exit(cuts in in front of me) and a colision takes place who is correct?

How about this.. I am driving to Castlebar..never been there before and approach the roundabouts (going straight through) as is normal in any other part of Ireland..Left lane to go left or straight through. Suddenly within 2 metres of the roundabout I see an arrow on the left lane that I`m on, indicating I can only go left but...em..I want to go straight through. (1). Do I go left and try to turn back? (2) Do I try to cut into the right lane and hold up traffic behind me until some one let me in? (3) Do I take the chance and just put the pedal to mettle and go for it or (4) do I stop, get out and hold a protest meeting on the roundabout.
