I drive regularly in the UK, soom roundabouts here only allow you to take the first exit when in the left lane, some allow you to take 1st or 2nd. If oyu read teh rules of the road it tells you to read the road signs as you approach the roundabout and get into the appropriate lane. My problem with driving in the Irish republic is that road signs are so badly lit up. Driving out of Dublin is a nightmare. The road signs are pretty much only visible if you have full heads on (which is difficult in traffic) But on roundabouts, each one is unique and the one at Cathal Duffy's was deemed too small for a two lane roundabout, therefore left lane must go left. |
