Roach are an alien species in Ireland that were mainly introduced by careless English anglers. They have been the bane of Irish trout anglers for 30 years, arriving in Lough Conn (which is miles from Shell Oil btw) in the last 5 or so years. They have virtually eliminated the trout from the lake by competing with them for food. This virus which has finally caught up with them is probably the best news for trout anglers in the past 20 years. The pollution from farms wpied out arctic charr and allowed the roach and rudd to take over in the new less favourable conditions for trout.

To say that all disease can 'mutate' shows a low level of understanding of biological processes I'm afraid. And for 'bio/chemical' matter why not just say cow-shit? Call a spade a spade.

This is a completely differnet matter from the sale of our national gas reserves by one Ray Burke who just got out of jail yesterday!
