What an odd rambling!
You make good points about being civil and often people should pay attention to that but then you threw in a paragraph about Ireland and England for no apparent reason except in relation to a discussion going on further down the board re: Aldi. While it's a fair point that we are Irish not English it's not unreasonable to compare the two countries in that we have many similarities, we trade alot with them and like it or not we are a similar people with similar traits and customs.
Again fair point about being civil although I think much of the down and out talk was in jest at local snobbery.
