Rates - were abolished in 1977 in ROI - if they still existed they would cost every householder in the country an enormous sum per annum. They don't exist anymore. But householders pay in England - Exactly how much do householders have to pay for ahem ahem 'council' tax today in England? What would a house worth 500,000 euros cost you annually?
