John Maughan did the best he could for Mayo with the limited quality players at his disposal. John is a gentleman, unlike some of his critics who probably never kicked a ball in their lives. Some scribes have been fair to him, others were most unfair. We wouldn't dare to comment on their writings; it might expose their shortcomings. Some of the player are also bits of prima donnas.
