They are responsible for the consequent long commutes that means we don't get home until all hours in the evening and for need for both parents in families to work fulltime in order to keep chin above water. Think about this and then you will understand why no one has time to give voluntarily to the latchkey kids of other parents who can't afford to spend time looking after them or teaching them simple stuff like how to eat soup without slurping and why it's bad manners to kick below the belt in a fight.

We have elected our bed and now we have to lie in it and accept the consequences of a low tax high GDP mythical economy based on sales of V1a gra and Pro zac. We are breeding juvenile delinquents and that's that. There's nothing you can do about it. Robert Putnam is right but there's nothing can be done about it here in Ireland.
