Seems a little unfair that just because the Main Street traders proposed the meters that everyone else (including other traders) has to suffer just so they can fumble in their greasy tills. Main Street belongs to the people of Castlebar, not just the retailers! Pedestrianise it and give it back to the people . . . or will the Main Street traders be too blind to see this as a good thing. Besides Main Street is a poor excuse for shopping, people who shop around Dunnes & Tesco's do so because there is a better choice of shops on that end of town.
