Well Doorley, the town might be awash with cash but money doesn't buy you taste. The reality is that Castlebar does not have the population to sustain an up market eating house.

Ask the Cadden lads of Bar One fame, they couldn't get enough punters to sustain the best eaterie in town in the form of Zest. This was despite the fact that one of them was a chef in the joint.

Al Muretto serves up some very good food, an Italian friend of mine said that they serve a very authentic Italian menu.

My advice . . . go to Westport for the grub.
