no, you will hopefully allow the people that do come into town enjoy an easier and more pleasant shopping experience rather than the hellish torture it is at the moment. and possibly encourage people who can find another mode of transport (ie those close enough to walk) to do that instead.

what has westport got to do with it?

encouraging people (and, yes, shoppers) to think twice about bringing the car in if they don't have to is a good thing.
