Money is incredibly important to scientific academics because good scientific research is expensive. today's Irish budget recognised this fact by putting an additional multi-million euro investment into Irish academic research. I have no interest in discrediting spiritual's charitable works. I didn't even read the earlier part of the thread. It's just the idea of people ramming the idea that dead people congregate in certain houses trying to scare the wits out of people is a bit far-fetched and I simply have no time for it until some serious academic published a strongly supporting paper in an orthodox scientific journal like say Nature or Science. Unreasonable? George bush didn't believe in global warming even in spite of many papers in Science and Nature and refused to strenghten the levees in New Orleans. He did believe in Weapons of Mass Destruction on the other hand. Which would you believe in. The Nature and Science peer-reviewed scientific papers or the oil grabbing greed of a president who says he's on a mission from God. Mystics and paranormal seventh sons of seventh sons make a nice living for themselves but until they are published in orthodox scientific journals I will believe that they are as credible as psychics live or the horrorscope in the paper. More ways of taking money off gullible people. Now excuse me I have to go and watch that excellent super-scary film called 'Carrie'. Compared with the silly Poltergeist which can't even decide on the definition of a poltergeist this is a real shocker. Made in 1976 it still packs a punch. But I will still sleep well tonight nonetheless.
