"Putting up a crib in the local hospital" can we get this stright once and for all, we had this stupid debate last week, Hospitals have interdenominational chapels they you can go and pray in private if you want, there religious symbols can be put up, where you can view them privatly, without inflicting them on others who find these symbols revolting and offensive, Hospitals are State property where people of all races and religions and none come for healing, i read from one Muslim guy on this BB the very reasons that they would object to a crib scene in a public secular building and i 100 per cent agree with them, when the crusaders sent by the then Pope entered Jerusalem, they massacred all the men, women, and children they could find (including christians) they then moved onto to Bethlehem and strung up all the women in manger square and hung the babies aroound their necks, they said they did this to honour the birth of the Lord. so what next put a cross up in hospitals on Good Friday with a man hanging on it? grow up will you, Ireland is now multicultural, we have to be sensitive to the needs of the thosands in our midst from other countries, the days of it just being Irish people and Catholic are gone forever thank God, we might learn some tolerance from others
