This is precisely the kind of head-in-the-sand-stuff that led to bishops protecting the criminals in their midst. Protecting a criminal is a crime against God as well as against Man.

Abusing Children was effectively institutionalised by the 'Church' as a result of the evil men running the show. You can rail all you like about 'crappy media' but you are presumably not the parent of a child who was abused by a priest moved from Parish to Parish and protected by his bishop such that he continued and continued to abuse other children?

Those children suffered needlessly as a result of the sheer naked unadulterated evil of these supposed men of God - both the actual abusers and those who stood by committing sins of omission as they were called.

Talk about God's judgement coming on their heads!
