The weak go to the wall. Remember there was a time when existing shops ganged up to stop newcomers selling newspapers. Now that is illegal under competition laws as totally anti-competitive. so it's a good healthy sign that shops and businesses close down. It makes the others realise that they can't sit back on their laurels. They have to compete for our business. Lidl couldn't find enough parking space in their original proposed location but undoubtedly they will spring up somewhere else if they are interested.
