Would a politician pass legislation to row back on Freedom of Information?

Of course not!

Well then would a politician pass legislation to ban satirical political comedy shows on TV, radio or print?

Would politicians try to enhance their own privacy by preventing newspapers and media from exposing politician's lies (as in unfulfilled election promises) or corruption (as in 'corrupt payments') and general antics like awarding themselves outlandish salary increases way beyond inflation or the average workers rate of increase? Definitely if they could get away with it.

But can anyone name a politician who uttered a racist remark, told a lie, accepted brown envelopes, forget to mention their little side-bar payments on their tax returns, fooled around with zoning and planning? Naw of course not. No such animal.
