Priests are called to almost every road death in the country to try to ease the grief of those left behind an stand at the graveside watching mothers and brothers and sisters and fathers falling apart with grief as they bury their loved ones - all too often a young son or daughter. They see it at first hand in a pretty grim manner. Priests regularly pray for road safety so why should they not bless roads to highlight the need for people to cop themselves on when they get behind the wheel?
