An update on payments for Castlebar.ie email addresses and our funding appeal

To date since 29 July we have received 26 separate payments - in total amounting to 1255 euro. PayPal charges amounted to 52.52 leaving a current total of 1202.48 euro.

People have been very generous indeed and this additional financial top-up to the advertising income is a great help with the overall 'restructuring' of the website. We are now reasonably hopeful that the website will be able to continue. Progress (slow but sure) is being made following the process of closing down the existing limited company - this is still in progress but effectively it has ceased trading. A new bank account is being established and appropriate structures are being established that will allow the site to continue to run on a voluntary basis while covering the essential costs.

PayPal will then take your credit card details. None of this detail is known to Castlebar.ie beyond your email address and the amount you have paid to the website.

Once received we will set you up with a Castlebar.ie Email address. At set-up we normally forward mail sent to the new email address on to your regular account but you have complete control over forwarding and other account details. Castlebar.ie email accounts work equally well as WebMail or POP accounts. If you have any special requirements mention it in the note on the payment or in a separate email.
