What we need is to monitor people and their driving habits,once a test is passed thats it,drive however you like for the rest of your life as long as you keep renewing your license.When people get to 65 or 70 they have to get a medical of some sort to ensure they are capable of driving yet there are so many people between the ages of 17 and 65 who are unable to drive competently and rarely use indicators,lights in wet/misty weather,the proper lanes,or who refuse to obide the speed limit.Every day one can see people who are getting into cars and you know by the way they start off that they can barely get out of their parking space,never mind to their destination safely.I am not trying to sound like a NAZI but when you allow so many people drive around without the ability to do so safely you end up with a death rate like ours and these mad jams where common sense on the drivers part would alleviate a lot of persistant problems.
