I know quite a few women who dont have pierced ears either because they think it doesnt suit them or regard it as a form of self mutilation.

On the other hand some people have all manner of unmentionable parts of their anatomy pierced

(Unmentionable as much for the wince factor as anything else).

Some people even get toddlers ears pierced which is about as chavy as it gets !
