I heard someone from the Vitners on the radio today complaining about tescos offer.I feel that Tescos are doing what we are not used to here in Ireland,offering genuine bargains on booze that are available all the time in the UK.The price of alcohol in supermarkets in the UK is a giveaway compared to Ireland.Look at all the people who cross the border to buy their drink for christmas or other occasions.The publicans are whinging because they are realising that some people have had enough and refuse to pay through the roof for drink in pubs when they can drink at home or throw house parties and save themselves a fortune on going out.The pubs are not good value for money,add in the smoking ban and you see why their trade has taken a hammering in recent times.Well done to tescos.
