I just had a fantastic weeks holiday mostly spent in Galway but stopped 2 nights in Days hotel in Castlebar & what a beautiful hotel With 5 star service in all areas & very cheap, it realy is great to see such a modern place like this besides some of the over priced well past there sell by date places who take the public for granted. I hired a car from Hertz at Knock Airport & was astonished to find that if the car was damaged while in my possesion i would be responsible for the first 1600 euros, for my own peace of mind i paid an extra 12 euras a day to cover that risk which came to 72 euros. surely this is just another ripoff, can any one tell me where i may in future hire a car that has a more sensible excess. C/bar just gets bigger & bigger more shops etc but main street not changed much apart from the destruction of the Humbert Inn
