You say Blow-in "The church is not pushing this". I can only then assume that you weren't at the last Sunday Mass when the Priest spent more time on why we should raise the balance of €300,000 to honour those who originally constructed the Church, than he did on guiding his flock through the events around Easter & helping strenghten belief in our relgion even though one of his own Apostles doubted for a while after the Ressurection.

It does appear that the Church wants this Steeple, so in fairness the Church should at least meet the people half way. Perhaps some of the proceeds from the Church car park might help the Spire cause...........
